What we’re about
New year. New faces. Same mission.
As we step into 2026, it feels like the right time to reintroduce myself and TAMALO Solutions Ltd to those who are new here, and to reconnect with those who’ve been part of the journey so far.
So…what do I actually do?
I run a bespoke, exclusive & retained executive recruitment consultancy, specialising in:
🔹 HVACR
🔹 BMS
🔹 Process & Industrial Cooling
Primarily at mid-senior level, but always with a long-term view.
Recruitment: but not the transactional kind
Since launching TAMALO in 2023, one belief has guided everything:
Finding the right hire (or role) is about far more than matching skills to a job description.
Anyone can skim a CV or send a shortlist.
What I do instead is dig deep into:
🔹motivations
🔹behaviours
🔹leadership style
🔹values
🔹team dynamics
🔹culture (the real one, not the one on the website)
Because a “perfect fit” isn’t about perfection, it’s about compatibility.
👉 Will you actually enjoy working together?
👉 Do you share a vision, work ethic, and expectations?
👉 Is there mutual respect, and maybe even a shared sense of humour?
When those things align, performance usually follows naturally.
Who I don’t work with
This part matters.
🚫 Toxic high performers
🚫 Businesses with impressive brands but unhealthy cultures (that aren’t willing to change)
🚫 Short-term thinking and revolving-door hiring
I stay close to:
✔️ Great employers
✔️ Exciting new market entrants
✔️ Exceptional candidates (at all levels)
But attitude, personality, and behaviours are where the real magic happens.
You might work with someone for a huge chunk of your waking life, so long-term fit is non-negotiable.
People first. Always.
I’ve seen first-hand how powerful it is when people land in the right environment.
Many candidates I’ve placed over the years have:
🔹embedded themselves
🔹added real value
🔹been promoted
🔹and eventually become clients themselves
So yes from a business point of view, your success matters to me.
But more importantly…you’re a human first.
In a world that still feels uncertain and demanding, honesty, empathy, kindness, and psychological safety aren’t “nice to haves”, they're competitive advantages.
A healthy workplace will always outperform one that just looks good on paper.
If you’re reading this in 2026…
Whether you’re:
🔹quietly considering your next move
🔹building a leadership team
🔹scaling a business
🔹or just curious about how others are approaching hiring differently
I’m always happy to have a proper conversation…no pressure, no pitch.
Here’s to building teams (and careers) that actually last.
